Stiltz founded
Australians Cameron Gillespie and Lachlan Faulkner move to the UK to start Stiltz Lifts, and at the same time Peter and James Gillespie move to China to set up a factory.

First sale!
The 2-person Duo Classic, the first Stiltz Home Lift model, is sold to a UK customer. The business is underway.

Reaching across the Atlantic

Venturing north
A new office opens in Leeds, located in the North of England. This office is home to the self-contained consumer sales team headed up by industry specialist, Michael Loftus.

Export news
Stiltz ships its first orders to new distributor Liftstar, the largest mobility services provider in Germany and starts to ship to France and the Netherlands.

Expanding production
Having outgrown their facility yet again, a new purpose-built factory is commissioned in Shanghai, China with state-of-the-art manufacturing in place from the start.

Head office relocation
The head office relocates to the West Midlands. Customer service, training and technical teams are established. The Berkshire location continues as the South of England office.

More approved distributors are added in key markets in Europe as well New Zealand, India and Malaysia.

Awards
Stiltz scoops several UK industry awards including Team of The Year, Building and Facilities Company of the Year. Notably, this year marked an important time for Stiltz as we achieved 7th place in the SME Export Track 100 list.

An all-new home lift
The new Duo Alta Home Lift launches. Technologically and aesthetically superior to the original Classic range, this lift is also accredited to international quality and safety standards.

The team is in place
To support the board, a recruitment drive takes place and new team members and mangement are engaged to complete the team. Stiltz is now fully equipped to take the business to the next level.

Bursting at the seams
Stiltz outgrows its USA headquarters in Bethlehem, PA as a result of the rapidly expanding customer advisor team. Plans are also introduced for expansion of 2 of the 3 UK locations.

Hitting new heights
Stiltz Home Lifts introduces a 6 Metre lift travel option on the Trio Alta flagship Home Lift. Homeowners who are looking for a 3-stop lift or have exceptionally high ceilings, can now specify this option.
