  1. New York City, New York

Known as the city that ‘never sleeps’ New York is an incredible city for wheelchair users due to its amazing 100 per cent accessible bus network.

It also boasts jaw-dropping observation decks like Empire State Building, One World Observatory and Edge – all of which offer lifts and ramps so that you can view the iconic skylines in comfort and convenience.

There are wheelchair-friendly paths in Central Park and easy boat access on ferries to favourite tourist spots such as the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. The famous Broadway theatres provide wheelchair seating, assistive listening, captioning, audio description, and sensory‑friendly performances too.

Las Vegas is known as the ‘entertainment capital of the world’ which is brimming with casinos, live shows, shopping, and more. Wheelchair users will find wide, smooth sidewalks, curb ramps, accessible entrances, and elevators throughout the area.

The Las Vegas Boulevard strip is entirely wheelchair accessible and has walkways that are equipped with elevators The city is a highly accessible destination with luxury hotels designed with accessibility and comfort in mind. The city also has numerous daytime attractions such as the Grand Canyon bus tours which are also accessible for those with additional mobility needs.

  1. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Yellowstone National Park has been made to be as accessible as possible which is great news for wheelchair users or those with mobility needs. It has accessible trails, boardwalks, and scenic viewpoints for visitors of all abilities.

The Upper Falls – also known as the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone – and the Lower Falls, Artist Point, Inspiration Point, Lookout Point, and Grand View all include accessible parking and toilets, and everything is thought about on the routes.

The Canyon Visitor Education Center has been designed to be wheelchair accessible, and all the Lodges and five Western Cabins have accessible rooms.
