In 2010, the story began, as Stiltz was founded. Within this year, home elevators were beginning to gain a real sense of traction in the UK market. Because of this, the company focused on practical solutions from the outset, designed to fit in existing homes without major structural changes. 

As interest in the initial concept grew, the brand then expanded internationally. Between 2010 and 2013, the business opened its U.S. office to support the growing demand.

By 2016, Stiltz had taken a major step forward by relocating the head office to the West Midlands in the UK. This move supported further foreign and allowed the business to run more efficiently. Around this time, Stiltz launched the Duo Alta Home Elevator, which was a key product in strengthening its position in the residential lift sector. 

In this busy period of growth, new teams were recruited across the business to service delivery and innovation.

Brand growth and product innovation

In 2017, Stiltz reached a great level of public visibility with its first national television advertising campaigns in the UK. This marked a milestone in brand awareness as more audiences were exposed to the brand across the country.

In 2018, the company expanded again, offering a six-metre lift travel option with the Trio Trio wheelchair elevator This gave customers flexibility and helped position Stiltz as a leader in adaptable products. 

Recognition and operational expansion

In 2019, Stiltz achieved its most significant milestone when it was awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade. This recognized the success of the company and the demand for the products.

In 2020, operational changes took place due to continued growth. Stiltz accommodated expanding departments, including marketing, warehousing and research and development. This era reflected the need for stronger infrastructure to sustain long-term growth. 

Global manufacturing and market growth

In 2021, Stiltz took another major step by scaling production by opening a new global manufacturing plant. This development helped meet demand and improved the company’s ability to effortlessly deliver across international markets. 

During this time, the business strengthened its presence in the U.S. by recruiting fifty ProPartner dealers which reinforced Stiltz’s commitment to growing its international footprint.

Scaling capacity and customer experience

In 2022, production capacity increased as its manufacturing hub factory was doubled which allowed for Stiltz to further improve and respond to growing customer demand. The same year also marked another milestone as the first direct to consumer showroom was opened in Denver, Colorado. This let customers experience Stiltz ‘in person’, to see how they integrate into real homes. 

2026 and beyond

Stiltz firmly established itself as a global leader in home elevator and residential elevator solutions. The company continues to focus on accessibility and independence for homeowners globally.
